This silky-bodied coffee has very sweet aromatics, laced with floral and fruited elements and sugar coated nuts.

Huehuetenango has very sweet aromatics, laced with floral and fruited elemnts, and sugar coated nuts. Hot water builds on the fruitiness, as well as layers of bitter-sweet chocolate. Its flavours are complimented with a silk body and a well balanced citric acidity. It's a nice marriage of flavours which change places more than once into a sweet finish.

More about Huehuetenango, Guatemala

In the northwest of Guatemala, on the border with Mexico, Huehuetenango is located at the foot of the Cuchumatanes, the highest non-volcanic mountain range in Central America; it is one of the best regions in Guatemala for coffee production.

Although primarily a mountainous region, with altitudes ranging from 850 to 3,700 meters, the region has an extraordinary variety of ecosystems (from subtropical forest to pine thickets). Coffee is practically a monoculture in Huehuetenango and the local economy depends on its export.

How much coffee do you really need?

Coffee isn’t one-size-fits-all — it starts with choosing the right use and type. Are you brewing espresso or filter coffee? Prefer the convenience of ground coffee or the freshness of whole beans? Making the right choice ensures better flavour and less waste.

Next, think about how many cups you drink per day. A single cup typically uses about 7–10g of ground coffee, so if you’re making 2 cups daily, a 250g bag lasts about 12–14 days. Brewing for a household or office? You might want a larger size or a subscription.

Storing your coffee

To keep your coffee tasting fresh, store it in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture — ideally in a cool cupboard (not the fridge!).

Preparing the perfect coffee

Preparing your coffee right is key: grind just before brewing for the best flavour, use filtered water, and measure consistently for balanced results. Whether you’re pulling a shot of espresso or steeping a slow pour-over, your method matters.

Finally, enjoy your coffee your way — black, with milk, over ice, or as an afternoon pick-me-up. Coffee is a ritual, a pleasure, and a small moment of joy every day
